Jon joined T&E's shipping team in 2022, following a number of years in the United Kingdom Civil Service in a variety of policy roles relating to climate change and clean energy systems. He holds a degree in French with business management and a master's in environmental technology. Currently he leads T&E's work on sustainable shipping in the UK, including on maritime emissions trading and zero-emission fuels.
A former schoolteacher, Jon is a passionate advocate for young people's environmental education. He loves the outdoors and is a keen runner and long-distance cyclist. He speaks English, French and a little German.
