Thomas joined T&E in 2016 and now heads the Trends and Analysis team, T&E's home of research and data analysis. He has a PhD in engineering from the University of Sydney and spent two and a half years as a postdoctoral research fellow in France. At T&E, he leads a talented team who produce high quality, relevant and impactful research, analysis and modelling, providing the base for informed policy recommendations and hard hitting campaigns. The team covers all of T&E's core areas of work, including all modes of transport, charging, energy, fuels, taxation, infrastructure and sustainable finance topics. Thomas is particularly fascinated in building compelling narratives with data visualisation and exploring the new possibilities of AI to enhance T&E's work.
Thomas speaks French and is progressing on his Dutch to keep up with his kids. Outside the office, he is a keen cyclist and classical guitar player.
