Paul joined T&E in April 2021. He has a background in strategic communications and external affairs gained in a range of national and international not-for-profit organisations, often in partnership with the private sector, international organisations, and civil society groups. He learned a vital lesson that change requires commitment and perseverance while working to make the UK's Countryside and Rights of Way Act (2000) a reality - a campaign started by a handful of dedicated individuals in 1932. Buy him a drink and he’ll tell you about the delights of advocating at the US Congress on the merits of funding international family planning programmes.
Originally from the UK, Paul studied history at the University of York. Whether hiking, climbing or cycling, he has been passionate about the outdoors from an early age, a consequence of growing up in the Lake District National Park.
