Sam joined T&E in 2020. He is responsible for media relations, the bulletin and boosting the organisation’s overall communications efforts. Sam has a master’s degree in global studies from the universities of Leipzig and Vienna. After graduating, he continued to live in the Austrian capital for four years where he gained experience working in the area of the internet of things and then later as communications and marketing manager for a mobility tech startup.
Hailing from Britain, Sam has always been obsessed with current affairs, which naturally fed his interest in climate issues. As a keen cyclist, he is an ardent champion of more liveable cities where public space and cleaner air take precedence over private cars. Away from T&E, Sam volunteers at the Blockchain & Climate Institute, a think-tank pushing for the deployment of emerging technologies to tackle climate change. Through his work in the tech world, Sam is well versed in the language of innovation. He speaks German, too.
